Nick Crace
Managing Director
30 years of experience in the construction industry, has taken Nick from practical site involvement in the UK and Australia, to consultation, business and leadership roles. More recently, as the Director of the NSW division of a leading Building Services Consultancy, Nick has been integral in the professional development and expansion of a team which matured in the market to become leaders in a broad cross section of project types. At the end of 2013, Nick formed Evolved Engineering, with which he strives to leverage his lifetime of professional experience to deliver a unique, fresh offering in the Building Services Consultancy market.
Aaron Versace
DIRECTOR
Aaron has over a decade of experience in global engineering firms spanning from Australia to the UK. He’s had the opportunity to lead iconic projects; from major masterplanning and flagship developments to cutting edge HQs for major global brands and occupiers. His client-focused approach and diligent delivery sees his projects consistently delivered successfully –on time and on budget. An effective member of multiple executive teams, he’s led portfolios including marketing and client strategy driving growth for key market sectors. Aaron joined Evolved in 2019 to contribute to a different kind of engineering consultancy; aligned to his values of building great teams and delivering excellent client outcomes.
Finbar mclaughlin
director
Finbar has almost 20 years of experience in global engineering firms from London to our three largest cities on the Eastern shores of Australia. He has been part of the senior leadership teams in each location, including state director in Victoria. His projects experience spans multiple sectors with a passion for creating solutions and clarity for his clients. This results focused approach and Finbar’s ability to communicate succinctly, ensures each project is delivered successfully for all stakeholders. Finbar has successfully lead both discipline specific teams and multi-discipline major project teams across geographical boarders only possible with his focus on people and diversity of thought.
A client-focused approach is what Finbar brings to the Evolved team and he has a vision where partnerships across the construction industry will be the future, creating both efficient and exciting projects, with results that exceed clients expectations.
Brett Cluley
Director
Brett has over 20 years experience in the construction industry, starting his career as a plumber on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Becoming a consultant in 2003, Brett has experience in a vast array of projects including aged care, commercial office interiors, retail, hospitality and all forms of residential from townhouse developments to high rise apartment blocks.
Brett currently holds design licenses in Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. In recent times Brett's focus has been on the fire services side of the industry, specialising in complex fire systems designs such as gas suppression systems, or fire engineered drenching systems.
Through his various roles, he has developed a holistic approach to design encompassing all sides of the design, construction and operation of a building.
HENRY DESSENS
associate director
Henry has more than 10 years experience in the building services and power systems engineering industry, including both design and construction. His experience covers a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, education and telecommunications. Through ongoing training he has developed skills in all fields of the power systems, , fire detection systems, communications, energy management, lighting and lighting control. At the start of 2015 Henry joined Evolved Engineering. As the principal electrical engineer Henry is in charge of developing the electrical engineering service provided by the business. He is focused on delivering high quality electrical systems designs and consulting services for our clients.
